Gallo's apartement: bedroom
Tracy: You're a lot of fun, Blake.
Gallo: So are you. Maybe too much. I'm gonna be way late for work.
Tracy: Okay, we are getting dressed for real this time... We should do this again, but no pressure...
Gallo: Yeah.
Tracy: Seriously.
Gallo: Yeah, yeah, definitely. That would be great.
Tracy: Well, I'm out of your hair. Your very cute hair.
Gallo: It was really nice meeting you.
Tracy: Hmm. See ya.
Gallo: Uh-oh.
----------
Outside the firehouse
Herrmann: Javi, you playing hooky or something?
Javi: Hooky?
Cruz: Skipping school. Don't do it. And no, his grade's got a Friday, Monday off thing, so he's hanging with us for the next two shifts.
Herrmann: I know. Chief's waiting for him.
Cruz: Oh, hey, come on.
Boden: Joe.
Cruz: Sir.
Boden: It's my understanding that we have a new candidate reporting for his first shift today.
Cruz: Yes, sir. Javi Sandoval reporting for duty.
Javi: Hello.
Cruz: Hello, Chief Boden.
Javi: Hello, Chief Boden.
Boden: You may proceed with your duties, candidate. I'll be by to inspect in about 15 minutes.
Cruz: Yes, Chief. We're on it.
Boden: I should hope so.
----------
Firehouse: garage
Javi: What are my duties?
Cruz: Oh, this is very serious. You have to make blueberry pancakes for the entire firehouse, huh? Yeah. Let's go, let's go. Hey, candidate in the house.
Capp: Looking good!
Tony: There he is.
Capp: Looking good!
----------
Firehouse: locker room
Brett: Um, hey. So I was thinking about our next paramedicine shift.
Mouch: Morning, Brett.
Brett: Sorry. Good morning, Mouch. I couldn't sleep last night, and I started thinking about our list of patients. And I noticed that a bunch of our patients would really benefit from an extra visit or two, so I put together a new schedule.
Mouch: Oh. This is a lot of visits.
Brett: Oh, well, if you don't have the time, I totally understand. I can do some of these on my own.
Mouch: You know what? This is fine. I'll just push my pipe band rehearsal. I've been appointed pipe major, so I do all the scheduling.
Brett: Congratulations.
Mouch: Thank you.
Dispatch: Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61. Person trapped, 863 Racine.

Construction site
Severide: What happened?
Worker: We hit a power line. The operator took a big jolt. He's not looking too good.
Severide: All right, just make sure your guys stay back.
Worker: Yeah, we're not touching that machine, we're not idiots.
Severide: I'm not talking about just the machine. It's... Hey! Hey, stop! Don't take another step. All right, the ground is energized. Let's set a perimeter of 30 feet. All right, Cruz, let's get this guy out of here. He's way too close.
Cruz: Copy that. Hey, hey, buddy. Don't move yet, okay? I'm gonna talk you through this step by step, okay? I want you to walk towards me one step at a time. But make sure you only put down one foot at once.
Kidd: Hey. Has anybody called the power company?
Worker: Yeah, they said they're sending somebody out.
Severide: No, we can't wait. He needs medical attention now.
Worker: I... I thought he was supposed to be safe inside the rig.
Severide: No, the metal cage is used to divert electrical currents. He takes one step outside, it's like a lightning bolt coming up through the ground.
Kidd: The potential around that excavator has got to be a few thousand volts, at least.
Severide: The aerial. Let's bring it in. We'll drop in from above.
Kidd: All right, Mouch, bring 81 closer.
Cruz: Good. Hey, all right. I got you. You're good. You're good. What the hell were you thinking?
Mitch: I can't just leave Andre out there. You know, we're like family.
Cruz:Let's just clear out, all right? Let us worry about Andre.
Carver: Is that Andre Kearns in the excavator?
Worker: Yeah, do you know him?
Carver: I sure do.
----------
Kidd: All right, Gallo, Carver, once you're done here, squad needs a hand.
Gallo: Copy that.
Cruz: Grab that.
Gallo: Sounds good.
Kidd: Okay, take him up.
----------
Severide: Severide: All right, hold here! I'm clipping. We're gonna get you out of here, okay? Can you stand?
Andre Kearns: I don't know.
Severide: Lower down a little... All right, hang on, buddy. Doing great... All right, Carver, we're gonna do this one at a time. On my go. Just relax, okay? Look at me. You're not gonna have to do a thing, all right? Let's get you up.
Kidd: Severide, you gotta get out of there now!
Severide: All right, new plan! We're coming out together... In ten seconds. All right, we're gonna fly you out of here, man. All right, Carver, tighten up the slack. You can do it. Come on, brother. All right, Mouch, take us up... Hey, quick right!
Kidd: Carver, you good?
Carver: I got it.
Severide: Keep going, Mouch!
Kidd: Okay, bring 'em down.
Mouch: You all right?
Carver: Yeah, I'm good.
----------
Cruz: Got it. Hey, one, two, three.
Kidd: We good?
Brett: Yep.
Carver: Brett, Violet, take good care of him. He's got a family back home.
Brett: Yeah, we will.
----------
CMED: ER
Doris: What do we got?
Brett: High-voltage shock. He's slipping in and out of consciousness. Elevated heart rate, erratic pulse. Severe electrical burns on his extremities.
Doris: Let's get him to Trauma 3.
Brett: Should we stay a bit, see how he does?
Violet: Yeah, let's do it. Carver seemed pretty concerned.
Hawkins: Hey, guys.
Brett: Hey, Chief.
Violet: Hey, there.
Hawkins: I'm late for a meeting, but check your email. I sent you some pictures of the B&B.
Brett: B&B?
Violet: Yeah, we are... We're going to Lake Geneva for the weekend.
Brett: Oh.
Violet: I know you and Casey travel together all the time, but this is our first trip, and I'm actually a little nervous.
Brett: Don't be... You guys are gonna have a blast.
Violet: Oh, my God. Check this place out. The Bradford House. Even the name is swank.
Brett: Mm, it's so pretty.
Violet: Yeah... Good job.
----------
Firehouse: garage
Cruz: Hey! How's our candidate?
Kylie: We're vibing.
Javi: I was told I can't sit at the squad table until I make squad.
Capp: They told you right.
Javi: How was the fire?
Cruz: Oh, it wasn't a fire, actually. But a man did hit a power line at a construction site, and Severide saved him.
Gallo: Oh! That's no way to tell a story, Cruz. Javi, you see that aerial ladder right there? Well, it was extended all the way out, and Severide, he was dangling from the end of it like "Mission: Impossible" so that he could swing it over a field of lava.
Cruz: There was no lava.
Gallo: And he had to lower himself down into a tiny spot the size of a postage stamp. There were sparks flying, electricity crackling. And the driver? Trapped. One wrong move, and no one's getting out of there alive. But Severide? He's Severide. So he lifts the guy up with one arm and swings him back to safety. Bam, Superman.
Javi: Awesome.
Gallo: Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. It was definitely awesome.
Javi: What did you do, Joe?
Cruz: Uh, I... I had to get the ropes ready.
Tony: Candidate? Where's our ham sandwiches?
----------
Kidd: Carver? You knew the victim?
Carver: I used to work with him.
Kidd: Oh, we've had a lot of firefighters work construction as a second gig. And you still do it?
Carver: Here and there... Andre was my first crew chief. He took me under his wing, taught me how to drive a front-end loader. He's a good guy.
Capp: Hey. Thanks for helping out on the ropes, Carvin.
Carver: Carver.
Capp: Ouch. Gotta be more careful.
Carver: Well, you guys rigged me to hoist it one person at a time, then Lieutenant Severide got creative.
Tony: He likes to do that.
Capp: Where'd you get that? Come on. Every scar tells a story.
Carver: A house fire in Pilsen. Didn't realize I had a rip in my bunker coat. Next thing you know...
Tony: Hmm.
Capp: Maybe not every scar.
Kidd: Have the paramedics take a look at that wrist when they get back, yeah?
Carver: Copy.
----------
Firehouse: laundry room
Kidd: That was pretty risky, doubling up on the rope like that.
Severide: Well, the bigger risk was staying put. All worked out.
Kidd: Yeah, because Carver saved your ass. He nearly pulled his arm out of the socket trying to pull you up, but he wouldn't let go.
Severide: I owe him a beer.
Kidd: Boden might just be right about this guy... It's so annoying... What are you doing to me?
Severide: What are you... What are you doing to me?
Kidd: Okay. Let's... We will... Let's pick this up at... At home?
----------
Firehouse: entrance
Carver: Hey, guys. What's the word on Andre? He gonna be all right?
Kidd: What was that?
Violet: His friend from the construction site, he's got severe electrical burns.
Brett: They have to amputate his leg.
----------
Firehouse: garage
Javi: What's this do?
Tony: Ignition switch.
Cruz: It starts the engine... Don't press it.
Tony: Hey. Pull this.
Cruz: All right, candidate. Come on. Time to go. Time to go. Ah. Here. Hey, when Chloe asks you how it went, be sure and not tell her how you pranked people all shift, okay?
Tony: Very important lesson.
Javi: Bah!
----------
Outside the firehouse
Severide: Great to have you here, candidate.
Javi: Thank you.
Cruz: Hey, that's a lieutenant you're addressing.
Javi: Thank you, Lieutenant.
Severide: You're back next shift?
Javi: Yes, sir.
Severide: Good. We're gonna put on some gear and run zero visibility dummy drills, all right? Think you can handle that?
Javi: Yes, sir.
Severide: Dismissed.
Javi: Severide is so cool.
Cruz: Yeah, he gets that a lot.
----------
Violet: Uh-oh. What's wrong?
Hawkins: I... I got bad news. We have to postpone our trip to Lake Geneva.
Violet: Is everything okay?
Hawkins: Yeah, yeah. Just... I have this paramedic conference in Waukegan they want me to go to, and given my current standing with DC Hill, I couldn't say no... I'm so sorry.
Violet: Don't be. No, it's... It's not your fault... We'll go another time.
Hawkins: Yeah.
----------
Kidd: Carver, you make sure you change out that bandage. I don't need you sidelined with an infection.
Carver: Will do, Lieutenant.
Kidd: Are you gonna check up on your friend at Med?
Carver: I am. Headed there right now.
Kidd: You remember how Chief Malloy used to always tell our class, leave it all on the scene? Don't bring it back to the firehouse?
Carver: Yeah.
Kidd: Well, that's not how we do things here at 51... Mind if I tag along?
Carver: Sure.
----------
Warren's home: living room
Brett: Huh, your blood pressure's a little higher than our last visit, Warren. But you feel okay?
Warren: Sure. I'm doing good.
Mouch: These feel a little full to me.
Brett: You've still been taking your medication, haven't you?
Mouch: Fill date's pretty old.
Warren: I have more.
Brett: Where? Are they in the bathroom?
Warren: No, my sister has them.
Brett: Oh, is Stephanie here? 'Cause I'd love to talk to her.
Warren: She's at work right now, but she'll be home later.
Brett: Okay, Warren, well, we have to go now, but I'm gonna call your sister and set up a time that we can come back when she's here, okay?
Warren: Okay.
Brett: All right, we'll see you soon.
----------
Stairs
Brett: He's low energy, but he does go up and down.
Mouch: What happens if he doesn't take his meds?
Brett: He's been on it for a while, so there would be symptoms of withdrawal... Insomnia, anxiety, psychosis, among others. We would probably know. I'll get it straightened out when I talk to Stephanie. Oh, I forgot to mention, I made sandwiches, so we can go right to the next patient instead of stopping.
----------
Outside the building
Mouch: But I like lunch breaks.
Brett: We eat and drive and save time.
----------
CMED: Andre Kearns's room
Carver: Are you Rita?
Rita: Yes.
Carver: We're firefighters. We were on the scene of the accident. And I, uh... I actually used to work with Andre... I'm Sam Carver. This is my lieutenant, Stella Kidd.
Kidd: Hi.
Rita: Thank you for helping him. Sounds like it could have been a lot worse if you weren't there... He woke up from surgery, and all he could think about was what was this gonna cost us.
Carver: You don't need to worry about that right now. That's what worker's comp is for.
Rita: I'm not sure that's gonna help. The company is blaming Andre for the accident, and if he's found negligent, insurance is gonna deny his claim.
Carver: Wait, they're blaming Andre?
Rita: They said he wasn't digging where he was supposed to.
Carver: That doesn't sound like the Andre I know. He's a "measure twice, cut once" kind of guy.
Rita: Five years with this company, and they're treating him like some kind of criminal. Nobody's visited him... They didn't even bother to send flowers.
----------
CMED: hallway
Kidd: Poor guy.
Carver: Yeah, I don't get it. Foreman on the scene, he was risking his neck to get to Andre. Said he was like family. Now he won't even pay him a visit? This doesn't make sense. Andre's good at his job, a total pro... He's getting railroaded.
----------
Outside the firehouse
Herrmann: Wa-ho! Look who's back. Most candidates wash out after day one, kid. We never see them again. Good to know we got a real smoke eater here.
Cruz: Yeah, Severide is gonna take him through some drills today.
Herrmann: He can handle it.
Cruz: Oh, don't I know it? He's been talking about it nonstop.
Javi: Whoa.
Severide: Hey! Candidate's back.
Javi: I'm ready for you, Lieutenant.
Severide: All right, well, first thing you can do is get over here and grab my bag out of the back seat... Chop, chop.
Herrmann: Don't worry about it, brother. Same thing happened with my kids. You can't compete with Severide... Nobody can.
----------
Firehouse: common room
Gallo: Hey... How's it going with that dude with the Egyptian tattoos?
Ritter: Alex?
Gallo: Yeah.
Ritter: That ended, like, a month ago.
Gallo: What about that guy from LaGrange who texted you "sure" with no exclamation point? So you thought maybe it was sarcastic.
Ritter: Gallo, I know what you're doing... Whenever you want to talk about your love life, you ask me questions about mine as a segue. So just come out with it, man.
Gallo: Okay, I met this girl the other night at Brink's.
Ritter: When you were avoiding seeing Violet and Hawkins at Molly's?
Gallo: And she's pretty wild, fun. But I know there's not, like, a serious future there.
Ritter: So keep it casual, then.
Gallo: The problem is, Ritter, women fall in love with me, and it's... And it can get complicated.
Ritter: Gallo, whether or not you want to admit it, you need a distraction right now from this whole Violet and Hawkins thing, okay? So call this wild woman up and have some fun.
----------
Firehouse: briefing room
Kidd: Carver?
Carver: Hey, Lieutenant.
Kidd: Hey... I made a few phone calls, dropped some CFD lingo. I managed to get a copy of the accident report filed by Andre's employers to their insurance company.
Carver: Nice.
Kidd: It doesn't look good for your friend. The company had someone from the city come out and mark that underground power line before they started work, per code requirement... But Andre didn't heed the flags.
Carver: Says who?
Kidd: The foreman, backed by the rest of the crew... They're calling it operator error... Look, it... It happens. People make mistakes.
Carver: But this is the rookiest of mistakes. And Andre is no rookie. The city must have marked it wrong.
Kidd: Their paperwork is in there. And it looks pretty thorough to me.
Carver: I can't tell from this. I'd have to see it in person... Lieutenant, I know this is a big ask, but they're gonna release the scene as soon as the insurance company rules on this... After shift might be too late.
----------
Firehouse: garage
Brett: Hey. So I was thinking for our next paramedicine shift, I'll add Warren in even though it's not his day.
Mouch: Will his sister be home?
Brett: I don't know. She hasn't called me back. But it's fine to add another visit, right? That day's not too long.
Mouch: Well, it's almost twice as long as we're used to.
Brett: Oh, my God. I'm sorry, Mouch. I'm being selfish adding all these new rounds. And you have Trudy to get home to and a life.
Mouch: That's not the problem. It's you I'm worried about.
Brett: What?
Mouch: You haven't slowed down even for a breath the last three days.
Brett: Um... Casey and I broke up... And I'm... I'm still processing. Just working things out in my head, you know? So I haven't told anyone yet.
Mouch: Well, I'm so sorry.
Brett: Yeah, me too. Um... We don't have to add Warren to the schedule tomorrow, and I can rearrange and shorten the day.
Mouch: No, let's keep that schedule for as long as you need. Trudy's happy to have some alone time. Trust me.
Kidd: Let's roll, Mouch. We're taking 81 out for a ride.
----------
Construction site
Kidd: Red flags marked the power line?
Carver: Yeah.
Kidd: They're small flags. I can see how he could have missed them... All right, come on. Let's get back to the house.
Carver: Lieutenant, you see this?
Kidd: What about it?
Carver: This is where we staged the truck for the aerial rescue. This flag wasn't put here till after we were gone.
Mitch: Help you guys with something?
Carver: Yeah, who moved these flags?
Mitch: I'm sorry, what's that?
Carver: This flag wasn't here the other day.
Mitch: Sure it was.
Carver: Really? Does it look like it had 40,000 pounds of fire truck sitting on top of it? 'Cause this is where we parked.
Mitch: Do you guys have some official purpose for being here I don't know about?
Kidd: We were just coming by to take another look at the scene.
Mitch: Well, you've had it. Now, if you don't mind clearing off my jobsite, I got to get my guys back to work.
Kidd: That man is lying.
----------
Firehouse: garage
Violet: Shouldn't you be on your way to Waukegan?
Hawkins: Wanted to drop off some paramedicine paperwork to Brett first.
Violet: Mm.
Hawkins: Probably the last chance I get since, uh, I only have two more shifts left in the district.
Violet: Yeah, right.
Hawkins: What's wrong?
Violet: All of this. It is my fault.
Hawkins: What?
Violet: Yeah, the district change, the fact that you have to go above and beyond to please DC Hill.
Hawkins: Fine, fine. We, you and I, made the irrational decision to get together despite all the pitfalls. Would you change any of it? Because I wouldn't change a second of it... These last few days have been some of the best of my life, even with the stupid conference. We will get to the Bradford House soon enough and plenty of other places too.
Violet: Yeah.
----------
Outside the firehouse
Severide: All right, candidate.
Cruz: Let's go.
Severide: Come on, candidate.
Cruz: You got this, papito. You got this. Okay. There you go, papi, there you go.
Tony: Stay low.
Cruz: Andale, papi, andale!
Severide: Let's move, candidate. Ten seconds.
Cruz: You got this! Andale! Let's go!
Severide: Nine.
Cruz: Come on!
Severide: Eight.
Cruz: Vamos, vamos, vamos, vamos! You got this.
Severide: Seven, six, five, four, three, two, one.
Cruz: Hey!
Severide: Well, Javi, there you have it. You've officially done the dummy pull faster than Capp.
Capp: And that's what we call in the firehouse a weak attempt at busting ba...
Cruz: Okay, no more lessons.
Javi: So who has the record time?
Tony: That would be Severide. Academy record too. 18 years, never been broken.
Javi: Nice.
Severide: Hey, come on... You want to hear something better than academy training?
Javi: Yeah, I do.
Severide: All right, well, a few years back, the squad goes on a house fire call. And I'm right near a chimney when the whole thing falls right down on top of me. The fire's moving in. Can't move, underneath a pile of bricks. Just when I think things can't get any worse, the floor starts to fail. Joe was there, but our captain on scene wanted everyone to leave. It was too dangerous. "Save yourself," he said. You know what Joe Cruz did? He didn't leave. He went out, and he found a big piece of wood. And he used it to lever the chimney in order for me to get out. All by himself... So I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Joe Cruz... That's the truth.
Javi:Same. He caught me when I fell out a window.
Severide: I remember.
Javi: Joe's my hero.
----------
Firehouse: briefing room
Kidd: Hey. You get in contact with your contractor friend?
Carver: Sure did. He says that company only cares about one thing... Profit margins. They've never met a safety regulation or environmental law they wouldn't trample.
Kidd: Even at the risk of hitting a power line?
Carver: If it cost too much to avoid the power line, they'll just cheat it a little bit. You know, nudge the flags a few feet and cross their fingers the diggers don't clip a wire.
Kidd: So when we pulled up the other day and the foreman was treading across the energized ground, he was probably moving those flags back to where they belonged before we got there.
Carver: I bet you're right. He wasn't worried about Andre. He was worried about covering his ass.
Kidd: Okay, but then why does the entire crew back him up on the report? Those kinds of shady practices endanger all of them.
Carver: It's a big company. They control a lot of the work in town. Why make an enemy of them?
Kidd: Mm.
Carver: I know one of those guys, Gavin Murphy. Did a job with him once... He's a decent guy. He must have gotten pressured into this.
Kidd: Think you can flip him?
Carver: Well, I gotta find him first. I know his info is in here somewhere.
Kidd: Need an extra set of eyes?
Carver: Thanks, Lieutenant.
Kidd: Yeah.
Carver: But can I ask? How come you're going along with me on all this? You don't even like me.
Kidd: It's true Chief Boden foisted you on me against my will... But he wouldn't have done it if he didn't see something in you. And this has been a chance for me to see it for myself.
Carver: Hmm.
----------
Gallo's apartment
Tracy: I was sure you'd ghost me.
Gallo: What? No.
Tracy: And I definitely wasn't expecting a booty text this early... Or is it late for you?
----------
Street
Brett: His sister isn't home. We'll have to track her down at work.
Mouch: Whatever it takes... Oh. Oh, God. It's Trudy.
Brett: Well, she's your wife, Mouch. You can handle this. Here, I'll deal with Warren.
Mouch: Hey, love... Uh, which light bulbs?
----------
Warren's apartement: living room
Brett: Hello? Stephanie? Warren? Hello? Is anyone home? It's Sylvie.
----------
Street
Mouch: No? Okay, then check the credenza in the dining room, bottom left drawer... Yep, I'll wait.
----------
Warren's apartement: hallway
Brett: Warren, I'm sorry that I just came in. The door was open.
Warren: You're not taking me anywhere.
Brett: Warren, it's me, Sylvie. I've been here before, remember?
----------
Street
Mouch: Okay. Love you too.
Neighboor: Is Warren doing okay?
----------
Warren's apartement: hallway
Brett: Can you put down the hammer, please?
Warren: I want to stay here.
----------
Street
Neighboor: I'm so glad you folks are coming by more often now that his sister, you know.
----------
Warren's apartement: hallway
Brett: Okay, Warren, I think you haven't been taking your medication. I'm just gonna whip something up for you.
Warren: I'm not going anywhere.
Brett: Okay.
----------
Street
Mouch: What about his sister?
Neighboor: She died in a car accident about three weeks ago.
----------
Warren's apartement: hallway
Warren: I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going anywhere.
Brett: Warren. Warren.
Warren: This is where I live.
Mouch: Sylvie! Whoa. Whoa. Warren, easy, easy. Easy, buddy. Easy. Easy now.
Warren: Ah!
----------
CMED: Andre Kearns's room
Andre Kearns: This is insulting. If I see flags, I don't dig. Simple as that.
Carver: You don't have to convince us, Andre.
Kidd: Are you sure this Gavin guy is coming?
Carver: He'll be here.
Andre Kearns: How'd you get him to agree?
Carver: I can be very persuasive... See?
Gavin Murphy: Okay, Carver, here I am. All that stuff you said on the phone, you want to try saying it to my face now?
Carver: Easy, Gavin. Why don't you start by saying hello to Andre?
Gavin Murphy: Hey, Andre. Sorry about your accident, man. I'm glad you're okay, but you about to get your ass kicked. Calling me a liar?
Carver: Does he look okay to you?
Gavin Murphy: I've laid guys out for way less, Carver.
Carver: Look at him! Does he look okay to you?
Gavin Murphy: Damn, Andre. Nobody told you about the leg, huh?
Carver: Well, you'd have known if you bothered to visit him.
Andre Kearns: Did Mitch tell you guys to stay away?
Carver: Why don't you tell Andre how it's his fault he lost that leg? Go ahead. You said as much in the report. Now look him in the eye and say it.
Gavin Murphy: Look, they... They asked me what I saw, so I said what I saw.
Andre Kearns: Come on!
Gavin Murphy: You were working that site for a week before I showed up with the excavator... You know what really happened.
Kidd: One day those flags are over here, and next, they seem... In not quite the same place.
Carver: It could have been you.
----------
Hotel: reception
Hawkins: Hi. Checking in. Hawkins, Evan. Any messages?
Receptionnist: Um, yes.
Hawkins: Thanks.
Receptionnist: Here you are.
----------
Hotel: bedroom
Hawkins: Hello?
Violet: Uh, wait. Uh, you're early... I have this... This sexy camisole thing I was gonna change into. It's kind of this weird orange color, but...
Hawkins: Only you could make the Waukegan Marriott the hottest place on Earth.
Violet: Mm!
----------
Mouch and Platt's house: lunch room
Brett: Wow, look at all of this. I wish you would have let me bring dessert.
Trudy Platt: Oh, this was no trouble at all. I'm just so grateful you both are all right. That could have ended very badly today.
Brett: Well, it did for Warren. With no other family to care for him, he'll be committed.
Mouch: Well, hopefully, he'll get the help he needs.
Trudy Platt: Breakups are hard.
Brett: You told her?
Trudy Platt: I once tossed a bowling ball through a guy's windshield after we parted company.
Mouch: Young love.
Trudy Platt: Baby, I was 37... I got more stories like that, if you want them.
Brett: Yes, please.
Trudy Platt: Don't even ask me what I did with superglue.
----------
Molly's
Herrmann: All right, listen up, all right? My niece is coming by tonight. She's been getting in trouble lately, so I promised her dad that I would give her a job here, you know, help her get back on track. So everybody be on your best behavior. Understand me? Keep your distance... Hey! Here she is. Guys... Guys, this is Tracy. Tracy, this is Ritter and Gallo.
Tracy: Nice to meet you.
Gallo: Yeah, same.
Ritter: Welcome to Molly's, Tracy.
----------
Kidd: That was a good thing you did. So this one's on the house, Carver.
Carver: Are you sure? I was told that wasn't a thing at Hermann's bar.
Kidd: What he doesn't know...
Carver: Well, thank you.
Kidd: Now, how about you tell me where you really got that scar? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't a house fire in Pilsen.
Carver: What makes you say that?
Kidd: Because you already had it in that picture you showed me from your construction days... Why lie about it? Okay, look. I get it. I have stuff from my past that I'd prefer to change the story on too... But there won't be a place for you on my truck if you lie to me again.
Carver: Then I'll just have to keep quiet about the scar... Thanks for the drink, Lieutenant.
