Pascal's house: bedroom

Pascal: I was thinking.

Monica Pascal: Hmm?

Pascal: Let's drive up to Lake Geneva this weekend.

Monica Pascal: That little bed and breakfast place? You think it's still there?

Pascal: It is... I checked.

Monica Pascal: Look at you. Already making plans... That sounds really nice.

----------

Firehouse: locker room

Cruz: Okay. Please do not gloat. I have officially learned my lesson.

Carver: That all Chicago sports teams suck right now?

Cruz: That, and don't bet on football with anyone from Texas... Late night, huh?

Carver: Mm. I took Tori to the Green Room and we wound up closing the place down.

Cruz: On a Sunday?

Carver: Mm, somehow she got behind the bar and we all started taking shots. The girl's been wild since high school and hasn't slowed down a bit.

Cruz: Huh. Well, uh, try not to get too jealous, but I watched "Ice Age" for the 100th time and was asleep by 9:30.

Carver: That sounds like a great night to me.

Cruz: Kind of was.

----------

Firehouse: garage

Damon: Looks like Squad's running drills today, huh? Forced entry?

Kidd: Mm-hmm. Kelly got a new K12 he wants to break in. We got his old one. You know, half of Truck's tools are Squad hand-me-downs.

Damon: You guys ever run drills together? Little friendly competition?

Kidd: Kelly, what do you think?

Severide: Yo.

Kidd: Timed forcible entry search drills, Truck versus Squad?

Severide: Uh, maybe next time?

Kidd: He says that every time. Squad ego can't handle the loss.

Dispatch: Squad 3, Truck 81, Engine 51, Ambulance 61. Boat accident, 511 West Erie.

Kidd: Better get your scuba gear ready.

----------

Park

Employee: There's a woman trapped under the boat.

Severide: Engine, clear the area.

Herrmann: On it.

Severide: Truck, stabilize the boat. Squad will extricate the victim.

Kidd: Copy that.

Severide: Cruz, cribbing!

Cruz: You got it.

Kidd: 81, step chocks and struts. Damon. Damon! Fall back!

----------

Becky: Help, help!

Damon: All right, we're gonna get you out of here, okay?

Becky: I... I can't move!

Damon: Let's go! Move back, people!

Severide: What do we got?

Damon: Her legs are pinned in here pretty tight.

Severide: Cruz, bring the jaws!

Cruz: Copy.

Severide: Truck, bring those struts!

Kidd: Coming in right now!

Mouch: Struts coming in!

Kidd: Hey, hey!

Mouch: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Don't move!

Kidd: Hey! Hey, it's coming down! Get out of there!

Mouch: Hey, hey! Come on!

Kidd: Don't move! Hang on, hang on!

Severide: Grab a loop, we're gonna pull through.

Damon: Got it.

Severide:Okay, this is gonna hurt, but it'll be quick, okay? All right, on three. One, two, three, pull!

Damon: Clear! Clear!

Mouch: Let it go! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

Violet: Ready? On three. One, two, three.

----------

Parking

Violet: This cut's pretty deep. You are gonna need stitches.

Maggie: Could have been worse, huh?

----------

Herrmann: You're okay, all right? Here. There you go. You all right? We're gonna get you out of here, okay?

----------

Novak: Take a seat.

Drinver: The throttle was stuck.

Novak: Mm-hmm. How much have you had to drink this morning?

Drinver: A couple beers, that's all. I didn't wanna hit the damn kayakers.

Kidd: I'll be right back.

Novak: Okay, let's take a look at the scrape on your arm.

Drinver: Uh, I gotta go make a few calls.

Novak: No, you're not going anywhere. You're gonna stay right here.

Drinver: Get off me.

Officer: We got him. Easy.

Novak: Thanks for the assist, Herrmann.

Herrmann: Yeah.

----------

Violet: Oh, my God.

Jeffrey: All right, I'm gonna check out that head wound of yours. Just sitting, having a cup of coffee. Suddenly, the world goes haywire.

Violet: Yeah, I know the feeling.

----------

Firehouse: garage

Kidd: Damon, hold up... Your orders were to stabilize the boat. Squad was on the victim.

Damon: I didn't hear you...

Kidd: You mean you didn't listen to your commanding officer.

Damon: I guess I just... Saw she was trapped under there, and my legs just started moving. I had to help her.

Kidd: You always wait for orders.

Damon: Copy that.

Kidd: You hear me now?

Damon: I do. I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking.

Kidd: All right... Go. Go on.

----------

Firehouse: Herrmann's quarters

Herrmann: Hey, Mouch. You mind coming in for a quick chat?

Mouch: Sure.

Herrmann: Yeah. Um... Thanks, um... I wasn't sick for the captain's test.

Mouch: So you...

Herrmann: Lied, yeah... Right to your face. And, um... It's been eating me up ever since.

Mouch: What happened?

Herrmann: I chickened out, plain and simple. I mean, I thought what if I pass and then I gotta fill Boden's shoes? I mean, that seems impossible.

Mouch: Boden practically knighted you as his successor. You don't think he knows what he's doing?

Herrmann: When you spend a lifetime, you know, thinking that you're unworthy, not even Chief Boden can erase that. It takes time.

Mouch: You didn't have to lie.

Herrmann: I know. And... I'm sorry that I did that, especially to you... But there is another test coming up in a couple of months, and I'm taking it, no question. So I'm already signed up. That's that. And I'm ready this time.

Mouch: All right, then... Let's do this.

Herrmann: Yeah.

Mouch: Huh?

Herrmann: Yeah.

----------

Firehouse: common room

Damon: The boat was going 40 knots with no way to stop! He would have ended up smashing into the retaining wall.

Pascal: Officers, gather up.

Herrmann: Hey, you missed a good one, Chief.

Pascal: Yeah, I was listening in on the radio. Sounded, uh, pretty chaotic. I gotta run over to headquarters, finish up some paperwork. After that, we'll go over your reports. We'll start with Squad. Say, an hour from now?

Severide: I'll be ready.

Kidd: He was listening in on the radio?

Herrmann: Hey, Boden did that every now and then.

Severide: Eh.

Kidd: Okay. But how much longer are we gonna Monday morning quarterback these calls?

Severide: As long as he wants.

----------

Firehouse: hallway

Herrmann: Hey. Hi. What are you doing here?

Cindy Herrmann: You know how we need a rug for the new family room?

Herrmann: We do?

Cindy Herrmann: Mm. Well, this place over on Halstead is having a huge clearance sale.

Herrmann: Uh...

Cindy Herrmann: So which one do you like better?

Herrmann: Uh...

Cindy Herrmann: I want your honest opinion.

Herrmann: Um... Yeah, this one. Definitely this one.

Cindy Herrmann: Great minds. That was my instinct too. It's a little more expensive, but I think a nice pop of bold color is long overdue in the Herrmann house.

Herrmann: How much more expensive?

Cindy Herrmann: Don't worry. You'll love it. Mwah. Ooh.

Herrmann: What?

Cindy Herrmann: Christopher, are you wearing cologne?

Herrmann: Uh, not since I went through the last of my Drakkar Noir. 1994?

Cindy Herrmann: Well... Whatever it is, it's very seductive... You better come home smelling like this.

----------

Chicago Med: hallway

Novak: Did you know that Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband have, like, a 25-year age gap?

Violet: Oh, is this about you and Pascal, our married new chief?

Novak: Hey, just find age differences interesting, okay? Excuse me... Paging Dr. Hottie. Okay, that guy could take your mind off Carver.

Violet: My mind is not on Carver. Anyway, doctors really aren't my thing.

Novak: Okay, then you should come with me to my jiujitsu class tomorrow because there's this one guy, Marcelo, and I think you two might hit it off.

Violet: Yeah, I'm not interested, Novak.

Novak: Everyone is interested in Marcelo. And he and his girlfriend just broke up.

----------

Chicago Med: Ambo parking

Violet: Oh, rebound. Nice.

Novak: I'm not saying you have to marry him. Just have a fun one-night stand with a super-hot guy. And he's a total slut.

Violet: Uh, you are really not selling this. Listen, I appreciate what you're trying to do. I'm just not feeling the whole dating scene right now.

----------

Firehouse: Severide's quarters

Damon: Hey, you wanted to see me?

Severide: Yeah. Close the door... We need to talk about the call.

Damon: Oh, yeah, great. Wanted to ask you why'd you go with the jaws instead of the airbags?

Severide: Your lieutenant ordered you to stand down.

Damon: What?

Severide: I know you heard her. I was right there.

Damon: Okay, so maybe I did. But if we had been a second later, then she...

Severide: Just stop. If you had helped stabilize the boat, it may not have fallen. But we'll never know because we don't get second chances, which is why we follow orders.

Damon: Okay, so what now? Kidd's had it out for me from the start, and you know it. I've been on the ropes with her ever since I came here to 51. If you tell her, she'll fire my ass and probably report me for misconduct... It could ruin my career, Kelly.

----------

Kidd: How's your report coming?

Severide: Almost finished.

Kidd: Okay, well then, I will make this quick, considering you have 20 minutes until Pascal returns. Uh, okay. It's about Damon.

Severide: Okay.

Kidd: Overall, he has been doing a good job. We had a little blip on the last call, but it's not like he's slacking off. He wants to be in on the action. He talks about Squad all the time.

Severide: Huh.

Kidd: Oh, come on. You know he worships you. Anyway, I was thinking maybe you could include him on Squad drills today. I know it's a big ask, but I just feel like we gotta harness some of this extra energy and put it to good use. He is like a puppy who's not getting enough exercise, so... Let's let him play.

Severide: Yeah, sure, if that's what you want. We... We'll run teams of two.

Kidd: Sounds good... 19 minutes and counting... Thank you.

----------

Firehouse: bathroom

Tony: What, did Capp put vinegar in your shampoo bottles again?

Herrmann: Nah. I'm trying to track some scent. I thought it might be a new soap or something? But apparently, after 30 years of breathing smoke, dulls your sense of smell... I got nothing. Hey. What do I smell like?

Tony: Nope.

Herrmann: Come on. Help a guy out!

----------

CFD: hallway

Sharon Levine: Excuse me. Hey, Dom.

Pascal: Oh.

Sharon Levine: Welcome back to Chicago.

Pascal: Great to see you, Sharon. I heard you took over for Burwell. Battalion 32?

Sharon Levine: Working out of our old stomping grounds at Engine 21.

Pascal: Yeah? Wow. Full circle, right? From a candidate to a Battalion chief. Congratulations.

Sharon Levine: And I hear you're at 51.

Pascal: Yeah.

Sharon Levine: How's the transition going?

Pascal: Well, we're, uh, still getting to know each other.

Sharon Levine: Come on. No one ever really knows Dom Pascal.

Pascal: It's a solid crew, 51.

Sharon Levine: I heard you and Monica split up. I'm so sorry.

Pascal: Who said that?

Sharon Levine: Um, I can't remember. Must have been when I heard you were coming back to the CFD. Why? Did I hear wrong?

Pascal: Monica and I are still together.

Sharon Levine: Oh. Well, that's great. Bill and I would love to have you guys over for dinner sometime. I gotta run to this budget meeting. I'll get in touch about dinner.

Sharon Levine: Uh, okay, yeah. S-sounds good.

----------

Firehouse: common room

Cruz: Hey, how's studying going?

Mouch: Well, most of this stuff is second nature after four decades in the CFD. But what's with all the math? There is nothing simple about simple hydraulics.

Cruz: Oh, hey, I saw Kidd laying into Damon about the boat call. What was that all about?

Mouch: No clue. Something between Severide, Kidd, and Damon. That's a Bermuda Triangle I steer clear of.

Cruz: Yeah, I tried talking to Severide about Damon last year. He almost bit my head off.

Mouch: See what I mean? Asking for trouble.

----------

Herrmann: Hey, Ritter. Smell my neck.

Ritter: Oh, you... You know, you're really breaking new ground on the HR violations.

Herrmann: Would you cut me a break here? All right? I'm a desperate man.

Capp: What's wrong, Herrmann? You fall for another telemarketing scam?

Herrmann: No! No. Cindy, she stopped by here earlier, and I don't know what it is that she smelled on me, but it was like "Love Potion Number 9."

Ritter: Just so the young people are clear, that's a good thing?

Herrmann: A mysterious scent that ignites the flames of passion after 30 years of marriage, that is more than a good thing. That is the Holy Grail. Back me up here, Mouch.

Mouch: Uh, it's probably the new laundry detergent.

Cruz: No, we got that detergent weeks ago.

Ritter: You know, my friend Eli practically bathes in Tom Ford. Now, all it takes is a quick hug hello and I smell like him for days... You hug anybody this morning?

Herrmann:I think we all know that I'm not a hugger.

Cruz: Mm.

Herrmann:Right? Oh, but wait a second. That call from the morning. There was a guy I helped into the ambo and his bare arm was all around my neck.

Dispatch: Truck 81, Ambo 61. Person trapped, 607 West Randolph, second floor.

----------

Building: hallway

Travis: She's in here. Hurry!

----------

Apartment: living room

Travis: It was an accident, I swear.

----------

Apartment: bedroom

Travis: I tried to keep her talking so she wouldn't pass out, but... We were in there together, fooling around, and I threw her against the wall, and...

----------

Apartment: bathroom

Travis: And I didn't mean to hurt her. It was an accident, I swear.

Maggie: I can't move. I can't move.

Violet: Let me take a look.

Kidd: Carver, prep the saw.

Carver: Copy.

Violet: Okay, this should help with the pain.

Maggie: Why can't you just pull it out?

Kidd: The bracket is fixed to the wall and it's shaped like a hook.

Violet: Which means no sudden movements, okay? Gotta be super careful.

Carver: All set, Lieutenant.

Kidd: Okay.

Violet: All right. I got her. You two can step out.

Kidd: All right. We got ya. Hey, ride the blade right up against the wall. Nice and slow.

Carver: Copy that.

Violet: All right. Hold on.

Maggie: Whoa, wait. Hang on.

Violet: No, it's okay. Sam knows what he's doing.

Carver: You'll feel some vibration, but that's it. I promise.

Violet: Just lean back on me, okay? I'll pinch her in for some more room.

Maggie: Mm-hmm.

Violet: My hands will be between you and the blade the entire time. Okay?

Maggie: Okay.

Carver: You good?

Violet: Yeah. I trust you.

Carver: And clear.

Violet: Okay, there we go. Okay, it's okay. It's okay. Stay on us. Here we go. Behind my back. Okay, we're just gonna bandage it, and the doctors are gonna remove the bracket at Med, okay? You're almost there.

Novak: Okay, good.

Violet: Nice work. All right, let's get you to the stretcher now.

Kidd: All right? There we go. All right, nice and easy, okay?

Violet: On your side. There we go. There we go. We got you.

Kidd: All right, bring her up.

Violet: Okay, let's roll.

----------

Firehouse: garage

Kidd: Damon... Look, we had a bit of a dust-up on the call this morning, but it was a good save. Nobody got hurt. Overall, you have been doing solid work. You have been showing a lot of hustle. So as a reward, you are gonna train with Squad today.

Damon: Really?

Kidd: Uh-huh. Yep. He's already on board. Don't let him push you around.

Damon: I won't. Thanks, Lieutenant.

Kidd: Yeah.

----------

Damon: I don't know what to say. Thank you.

Severide: This was her idea.

Damon: Yeah, but obviously, you didn't tell her.

Severide: Go change out. We start in ten minutes.

Damon: Copy that.

Severide: All right.

----------

Firehouse: common room

Ritter: You're really hitting those books hard, Mouch. You're not worried about over preparing?

Mouch: Over preparing is a myth invented by procrastinators and layabouts. The only way to pass is to know your stuff inside and out. And I gotta nail this sucker on the first shot. I can't afford to wait another six months to try again. Time is a-ticking.

Herrmann: Oh, oh. Hey, there you are.

Ritter: Yeah? Everything okay?

Herrmann: Oh, yeah, no. Violet just texted me back with an update on the... You know, on the boat call, the guy with the busted forehead.

Ritter: And?

Herrmann: Yeah, it's great news. The guy is still laid up at Med with a concussion. So we gotta get over there and see what kind of, you know... You know, cologne he's wearing or whatever. But come on, we gotta go before another call comes in.

Mouch: Hey, Herrmann... Don't you have more important things you could be doing?

Herrmann: We'll be back in an hour, tops.

Mouch: You...

----------

Firehouse: Pascal's office

Pascal: You didn't wanna run the saw yourself?

Kidd: Carver has a steady hand. And I wanted to stay in a position of oversight.

Pascal: So he's the best with the blade?

Kidd: Everyone on Truck can handle any size saw. I just thought that he was the best choice for that particular moment.

Pascal: Going through all the personnel files, I noticed Engine and Squad is the same crew for years... Your rig has more turnover than the Cubs' bullpen... Why is that?

Kidd: Well, uh... For various reasons, mostly out of my control... I feel that we have a core crew now. And we should be solid for a while.

Pascal: I hope so.

----------

Firehouse: garage

Severide: Set, go.

Damon: Breach! All right, sling him!

Severide: Around the sternum. Let's go.

Cruz: Come on, buddy. Focus, all right?

Severide: Let's move, guys.

Damon: Set.

Cruz: All right, ready? Go!

Severide: Time! It's not even close.

Capp: Oh, yeah. Suck it, Cruz.

Cruz: No way. Whoever gets the Truckie has a five-second handicap.

Tony: You still would have lost.

Cruz: Are you joking? Dude, it wasn't even close!

Capp: It was total amateur hour, and you know that!

Severide: All right. Hey, that's enough.

Cruz: You've been doing this for years. You wanna try working with this kid?

Capp:It's pure amateur hour on your part.

Cruz: Next time, we swap...

Severide: Enough! You two, reset. You're running it again. Capp, Tony, you're on the air bags.

Cruz: Hey, you get the dummy, I'll get the door.

Damon: All right. I'll bring it this time.

Cruz: Hey. You're the first Truckie to ever train with Squad. You know that, right? How'd you talk Severide into it?

Damon: I didn't say a word... Wasn't my idea.

----------

Chicago Med: Jeffrey's room

Herrmann: Hey. Jeffrey. Right?

Jeffrey: Yeah?

Herrmann: Hey, I'm Christopher, this is Darren.

Jeffrey: You were at the boat crash. You walked me to the ambulance.

Herrmann: Yeah, that's right. How's that bump on your head? You feeling all right?

Jeffrey: Yeah, not too bad. They just kept me for observation. You guys come to check up on me?

Herrmann: Oh, yeah, absolutely. I mean, that's what firefighters do, right? I mean, you know, maybe not all of 'em, but, um, you know, at Firehouse 51, uh, that's like our... Our thing. Huh, Ritter?

Ritter: Yep.

Herrmann:Yeah.

Ritter: We're special that way.

Jeffrey: Wow, that's... Something.

Herrmann: Yeah.

Ritter: Ooh.

Herrmann: Huh.

Ritter: It smells really good in here.

Herrmann: Oh, yeah, that's right. I can smell it too. Wow.

Ritter: Yeah, is that... Are you wearing Tom Ford cologne?

Jeffrey: Uh, no, definitely not.

Herrmann: Well, then, what kind of cologne is that? 'Cause you smell terrific.

Jeffrey: I don't wear cologne.

Herrmann: Huh, that's too bad.

Jeffrey: Maybe it's my lotion.

Herrmann: Oh, your lotion?

Jeffrey: Yeah, it has kind of a scent to it. Uh, I have it here with me.

Herrmann: Oh, yeah... Oh. Oh, wow... Yeah. Mm, yeah. That... That's gotta be it, right? Hey, where do you get a lotion like that?

Jeffrey: Any pharmacy, I guess. But you need a prescription.

Herrmann: For lotion?

Jeffrey: It's psoriasis cream.

Herrmann: How much you want for this? I got 80...

Jeffrey: Oh.

Herrmann: 100.

----------

Firehouse: entrance

Kidd: I'm glad you had a good time on Squad, but don't get me wrong, I did it for selfish reasons I want 81 to be the best Truck company in the CFD.

Damon: Same here.

----------

Firehouse: hallway

Kidd: And I know Squad can feel like the cool table where everyone wants to sit, but prove yourself on Truck, and then, maybe, down the line...

Damon: I'm happy on Truck, Lieutenant.

----------

Firehouse: Kidd's quarters

Kidd: All right. That's what I want to hear... So what'd you learn, drilling with Squad?

Damon: I got to practice with the K12, which was pretty cool.

Kidd: That's it?

Damon: Um, well, I pushed myself pretty hard. I think I lost a few gallons of sweat.

Kidd: Good. That was the point. Those guys, they're the best. And you are not there yet. But in a few years, you could be. I'm not looking for a lifetime commitment or for you to sign your name in blood. I just wanna build a great team with people that I can rely on.

Damon: I wanna be here more than anything. I'm all in, Lieutenant.

Kidd: Good.

----------

Firehouse: common room

Violet: Hey, Novak. Got a picture of that guy from your jiujitsu class?

Novak: Marcelo? Hang on. He posts, like, five times a day, usually shirtless selfies.

Violet: Oh... Oh. Damn, that's not AI?

Novak: Nope, that is all Marcelo.

----------

Firehouse: Pascal's office

Monica Pascal: Your last office was twice this size.

Pascal: It was also hundreds of miles away.

Monica Pascal: Mm, no ocean view. But I see that your "I love me" wall is already up.

Pascal: Well, you're the one that had it all framed. I'd say let's get lunch, but I got a Zoom in five.

Monica Pascal: I have a client waiting. I just came by to drop this off... Sorry for changing the locks on you. I was in a mood.

Pascal: I ran into an old friend of mine at headquarters today who said they heard you and I split up. I haven't mentioned it to anyone. Have you?

Monica Pascal: Who was it?

Pascal: Someone I haven't spoken to in years.

Monica Pascal: Huh... Well, the first week I was back, Stephen Vale reached out. I think I mentioned we were living apart.

Pascal: Vale?

Monica Pascal: Dom, he called as a friend.

Pascal: Yeah, I'm sure he did.

Monica Pascal: We only spoke a few minutes. And it was true. I came home to Chicago; you stayed in Miami. I didn't know when or if I'd see you again.

Pascal: Sure didn't miss a beat, did he? Neither did you.

Monica Pascal: Dominic, stop. Don't go looking for something to get angry about and screw up everything we've been working so hard to rebuild.

----------

Firehouse: garage

Pascal: McHolland. You know where Engine 51 disappeared to?

Mouch: Uh, yeah, I think they went on a welfare check to Med... You need something, Chief?

Pascal: Yeah, I need to know where my rigs are at all times.

Mouch: Well, Chief Boden never cared as long as we kept our radios on... But you want us to loop you in. Copy that.

----------

Firehouse: briefing room

Cruz: What's all this about? More study prep for Mouch?

Severide: Nah. Pascal's got a whole new set of drills for us to run next shift.

Cruz: Oh, yeah? Damon gonna join us for that too? I'm sorry. That slipped out.

Severide: What is your deal with him?

Cruz: You're gonna get mad at me if I say it.

Severide: Sure you wanna say it, then?

Cruz: I think I have to... Look, I don't have anything against Damon. It's not about him... But something's going on with you two. I can feel it.

Severide: Cruz...

Cruz: Things aren't right around the house. I'm only saying this because... Because I know what it's like to have a little bro who got the short end of the stick. And you feel like you always gotta take care of him... That was me and Leon. And I know how easy it is to cross lines that you wouldn't for anybody else... Trust me. You don't wanna be put in a situation like that... You don't wanna do anything you'll regret.

----------

Firehouse: Kidd's quarters

Kidd: So you knew Damon heard meright from the start?

Severide: I thought so. I wasn't sure until he told me later.

Kidd: I asked him straight up if he heard me give the order... And he lied to me.

Severide: He didn't wanna lose his job.

Kidd: You lied to me.

Severide: I should have told you right away... I'm sorry.

----------

Firehouse: locker room

Novak: Okay, so I'm thinking we start at the Clipper and then see where the night takes us.

Violet: Okay, sounds good.

Novak: Oh, and so you know, I sent Marcelo some photos of you.

Violet: Wait, what?

Novak: Mm-hmm. He thinks you're super-hot.

Violet: No, wait. Which photos?

Carver: Hey, Vi... Uh, don't forget your phone.

Violet: Oh... Yeah, wow... Thanks.

----------

Street

Herrmann: Hey! Wait up. Man, that Pascal can be a real hard-ass, huh? The guy just tanned my hide for taking out the engine yesterday.

Mouch: Yeah. He was in a hell of a mood.

Herrmann: Yeah.

Mouch: And so was I. Watching you screw around all day hunting down cologne while I bust my hump studying for a test I may never even take.

Herrmann: What are you talking about? Why wouldn't you take the test? Come on. You think that I'd flake on the captain's test again?

Mouch: I've seen you study harder for an eye exam. You didn't crack a book all shift.

Herrmann: Look, I get why you'd have your doubt after what happened the last time. But you should remember what you said to me the other day. You know, like, how you think that I got what it takes to lead this house? That meant the world to me. And I haven't forgotten that, and I never will. Not ever... So... I'm gonna take that damn test. That's a promise. And I will not let you down again... And just for the record, it wasn't cologne, it was lotion. And it cost me 100 bucks, and it damn well better be worth it.

Mouch: Make it so.

Herrmann: Yeah.

----------

Hermmann's house: living room

Cindy Herrmann: Well, hello, Christopher.

Herrmann: Wow, Cin... Uh, where are the kids?

Cindy Herrmann: I bought us a few hours... I see you followed orders.

Herrmann: Always.

Cindy Herrmann: What is it, anyway?

Herrmann:It's some fancy lotion that Ritter helped me track down. Some real top-shelf stuff. It's worth every penny.

Cindy Herrmann: Mm.

----------

Club

Novak: She's one of my best friends, and she's got a mean roundhouse kick.

Marcello: You should come to one of our classes.

Novak: I told him you kick ass on the heavy bag.

Violet: I... No, I really just do it for the exercise, guys.

Marcello: How do you think I got these?

Novak: Whoo!

Marcello: I'll get us some shots.

Novak: Tequila! Thanks. Oh, you are so getting some tonight.

Violet: You know, I actually think I'm gonna bail.

Novak: What? No, no, no, no. He's... He's totally into you.

Violet: He seems... Like his photos. It's just... God, I was wrong. I'm not ready. And I just wanna go home by myself tonight.

Novak: No Marcelo?

Violet: No, and I'm sorry. But I love you for trying.

Novak: Are you cool if I take him home?

Violet:Go for it.

Novak: Okay.

----------

Stephen Vale's house: porch

Stephen Vale: Yeah. Hey, Dom. What's uh... What's going on?

Pascal: I didn't wanna crash your party.

Stephen Vale: No, no, it's just uh... Just a few white shirts and, uh, you know, Alderman Molina from our district. We're working on a, you know, fundraiser together.

Pascal: Uh-huh.

Stephen Vale: Uh, what... What brings you by?

Pascal: You called my wife.

Stephen Vale: Jesus, Dom, it ain't what you think... Dom.

Pascal: Stay the hell away from her. Huh?

----------

Bar

Damon: You told her.

Severide: She's your lieutenant... And she's my wife.

Damon: I actually thought you might have my back on this.

Severide: I did. That's the problem. I lied to protect you, which is something I wouldn't have done for anyone else.

Damon: So what'd she say?

Severide: She's pissed. She has every right to be. At both of us. Take a seat.

Damon: Man, you sold me out!

Severide: We need to talk.

Damon: So talk. Say what you came to say, whatever lecture that you had planned, so I can leave.

Severide: We can't work at the same firehouse... One of us has to go.
