Street

Dawson: I just don't like westerns or car movies, so sue me.

Casey: And I cannot watch another movie about a couple that meet, get together, break up, get back together... Break up again, and then finally get back together.

Dawson: Oh, really?

Casey: Yeah.

Dawson: Yeah, I mean, you know, what couple would do something like that?

Casey: Okay, fine, but I'm getting beer.

Dawson: And I'm getting popcorn.

Supermarket

Announcer: Attention, shoppers, come on down to our meat department try a sample of our New York steak which is on sale right now for $11.99 a pound. Your palate will sing. And, as always, thank you for shopping with us  and have a wonderful day.

Eddie Owens: Oh, hey, you a paramedic?

Dawson: Yeah, I am.

Eddie Owens: What's a... A good medicine to put on a... A burn?

Dawson: Uh, aloe vera, or... I mean, it kind of depends. How bad is it? Ooh!

Eddie Owens: You at Firehouse 51? Must make you feel so powerful… Deciding who lives and who dies.

Dawson: Matt. Matt!

Casey: What's wrong? Gabby? What is it?

Antonio Dawson’s apartment

Antonio Dawson: And you're sure it was the same guy?

Dawson: He knew I was from 51 and he had those burns.

Antonio Dawson: And you have no idea who he is?

Casey: We asked around, but the neighbours and landlord denied knowing anything about him.

Antonio Dawson: We need an ID. I'll reach out to Jay Halstead, loop him in. He has the clearance to pull the security footage from that supermarket.

Casey: That's a start.

Antonio Dawson: I'll let you know what I hear. Love you.

Dawson: Love you.

Casey: Bye.

Antonio Dawson: You know, you don't have to hide. It's not like this is a secret.

Brett: Oh, dressed like this? Or in the little dress from last night?

Antonio Dawson: Kiss. That was a great dress.

Brett: Thank you.

Antonio Dawson: Damn it. I was supposed to have today off. Stone needs me there in 30. What am I going to do with Diego?

Brett: What about me?I can pick him up from your mom's, and take him to the fire house, let him beat me up in chess. Team Diego effort.

Antonio Dawson: Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I'll call my mom.

Brett: You look like... You wanna cook me breakfast.

51 locker room

Severide: Hey, you seen an older guy around here? Buddy of my dad's is doing a ride-along this shift, I already lost him.

Casey: Nope. I haven't seen him… I thought you were Dawson when you walked in.

Severide: You still haven't given that to her?

Casey: Every time I try, something gets in the way. Had it all figured out before that nutjob with the gun showed up.

Severide: Well, just go out there and give it to her.

Casey: And I sometimes wonder why you're still single.

Severide: Fair enough.

Casey: Yeah, we got married in turnout gear. So the ring needs to be a thing. I know what you're thinking, and whipped cream will not be a part of it.

Severide: Damn, I thought I nailed it.

51 parking

Dawson: So how much did Abuela make you eat?

Diego: There's a new plate of something every 20 minutes.

Dawson: It's amazing Antonio and I aren't, like, a thousand pounds each. You gotta know how special it is for her to have time with you.

Diego: I mean, she's cool... For not having an X-box.

Brett: It's about the highest compliment one can get from a 13 year old.

Radio: Ambulance 61, man down from unknown causes, 3281 West Palmer.

Dawson: That's us. Uh, Otis, you mind bringing Diego inside?

Otis: Oh, absolutely. Talk some X-box.

Brett: Or chess.

Otis: Chess it is.

Brett: All right, get your board out 'cause I'm gonna be back soon, and I'm gonna kick your butt.

Street

Brett: Hey, Dawson, isn't this the building where that guy pulled a gun on Casey?

Dawson: That's just a coincidence, right? Ma'am, did you call for an ambulance?

Carly Hamilton: It's my landlord.

Basement

Carly Hamilton: I heard a noise, and I came down here, and I found him like this.

Brett: No pulse.

Dawson: This is the man who owns the building?

Carly Hamilton: Uh-huh.

Dawson: This is the man Matt was trying to talk to.

Brett: He's asystole.

Dawson: I'm sorry. He's dead.

Street

Dawson: Like I said, we were here on a call and a man was trapped in there. He threatened one of our Lieutenants... Who happens to be my husband, with a gun… Hey.

Halstead: Gabby, Brett. Thanks, Ronnie, I got it from here… I got your message, and Antonio filled me in on the rest. So the dead guy's the owner of the place?

Dawson: Yeah, Matt talked to him a few days ago to see if he knew the guy that pulled a gun on him, but the guy gave him the brush off.

Halstead: Okay.

Brett: Hey, um, she was pulled out of the basement during the fire. Maybe she knows the guy.

Officer: I'm gonna need a phone number for you as well. Thank you. Excuse me.

Halstead: Detective Jay Halstead.

Carly Hamilton: Hey.

Halstead: CPD. And you are?

Carly Hamilton: Uh, Carly Hamilton.

Halstead: Can you tell me what happened, Carly?

Carly Hamilton: Yeah, I was back here checking if any of my stuff was salvageable, and I heard a noise so I went down there, and... That's how I found him.

Halstead: Did you see anybody else down there, or hanging out in the area?

Carly Hamilton: Uh, no. No, sir.

Halstead: What about the guy that was living in the basement?

Carly Hamilton: Who?

Halstead: Well, the medics here told me that you were in the basement during the fire.

Carly Hamilton: Oh, of course, you guys helped me and my daughter.

Dawson: Uh, there was a man living down there in the room in the back.

Carly Hamilton: Well, I wouldn't know anything about that.

Halstead: You sure?

Carly Hamilton: No. I don't know anything about that.

Halstead: So how long have you lived in the area?

Dawson: Hey, sweetie. Miranda, right? Remember me?

Miranda: You took me and my mom to the hospital.

Dawson: Yeah. How you feeling?

Miranda: Okay. Is my mom in trouble?

Dawson: No. No, honey. Actually, your mom did a really brave thing.

Carly Hamilton: Miranda, come over here, honey.

Halstead: I might have more questions for you. If you think of anything, call me.

Carly Hamilton: Yeah, no, for sure, thanks.

Halstead: I'm on this. Don't worry.

51 kitchen

Severide: Hey, guys, I found him. He was over at Manny's eating an egg sandwich.

Dennis Mack: Didn't realize I was on such a short leash.

Severide: This is Dennis Mack. He's an old friend of Benny's from way back.

Casey: How do you know Benny?

Dennis Mack: I'm a District Chief in Springfield. Saw Benny at regional conferences every year. We bonded over our hunting and fishing addictions.

Severide: Chief Mack is retiring next month.

Kidd: Springfield. Hm.

Dennis Mack: What, you got a problem with Springfield?

Severide: Nope, not at all. I just know a girl there.

Mouch: He knows a girl everywhere. What brings you to 51, Chief?

Dennis Mack: Well, I thought before I retired, I'd spend some time in other cities. See if maybe we could do things better.

Boden: Hey, everybody. Need to see you all in the briefing room… Diego, you mind spending a few minutes out here?

Diego: Sure.

Casey: Come on.

Briefing room

Boden: Now, we all know from the call that this man was in possession of several guns, and that he sought after Casey and Dawson in the store. Now whether or not the death of the landlord is his doing, we all need to err on the side of caution. You be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Herrmann: This guy is obviously off his rocker.

Severide: They have any leads on him?

Dawson: Halstead's on him, but nothing so far.

Boden: Now from now on, no freelancing when we're on a call. We all stick together.

Connie: Chief, Detective Halstead is here to see you.

Boden: Severide, Casey, let's go.

Boden’s office

Halstead: I ran the full Monty on Denton. Your murdered landlord. He's got an extensive arrest record.

Boden: What did Denton do time for?

Halstead: Multiple weapons violations. The last one, he did four years in Stateville, and we think that's where he met you're guy. All right, first off, let's get an ID. Who do you recognize?

Casey: This guy.

Halstead: Eddie Owens. You gotta know what you're dealing with. He had written up a personal manifesto, rigged up a fertilizer bomb that he set to go off outside of a federal building in Kansas. Luckily, it didn't go off, but... this guy's been on the run ever since.

Casey: You think he murdered Denton?

Halstead: I don't know yet.

Boden: What are the police doing to find Owens?

Halstead: Uh, we identified his cell, and we obtained a trap and trace along with a ping order. The problem is he only turns his phone on long enough to check messages, so we haven't been able to triangulate his locations.

Severide: What about the place that burned?

Halstead: Forensics tossed his squat, they didn't find anything helpful in tracking him… In the meantime, I'm gonna roll some squads here. Okay?

Casey: Yeah, thanks.

Halstead: Guys.

Boden: What's on your mind, Lieutenant?

Casey: Halstead said they tossed the scene and didn't find anything. There wouldn't have been anything left to find.

Boden: Why not?

Severide: Because OFI already went through that place with a fine-tooth comb. Any evidence is... Bagged up in storage somewhere.

Boden: I'll make a call.

51 parking

Kidd: Don't even think about it… Talked to Mack. He's a good guy.

Severide: Yeah.

Kidd: You ever gonna talk to me about Anna going back to Springfield?

Severide: Wasn't planning on it.

Kidd: Too tough? You, I mean.

Severide: She had to go home. I understand.

Kidd: Well, are you okay?

Severide: Always.

Kidd: Yeah, you should call her.

Severide: Hm, maybe someday.

Kidd: Hey! Every day is someday, Kelly.

Severide: I'll keep that in mind.

Kidd: Mm-hmm.

51 kitchen

Brett: Dude.

Diego: I think you mean, "check."

Brett: How did you...

Diego: Nope. Hm.

Mouch: Chess is a game for young brains, Brett.

Diego: You want me to take it easy on you, I mean...

Brett: No. Okay. Okay, how do you feel about checkers?

Laura Dawson: Excuse me.

Diego: Hey, Mom.

Laura Dawson: Diego, can you grab your stuff? I'm taking you home.

Diego: Yeah, sure.

Brett: Um, Laura, right? I'm Sylvie Brett.

Laura Dawson: A blonde. Come here.

Brett: I am.

Hallway

Laura Dawson: What the hell do you think you're doing?

Brett: I'm playing chess with Diego. He's fine.

Laura Dawson: Yeah, well, I'm not. I'm not fine with some woman I don't know driving around with my son.

Brett: I was just doing Antonio a favour.

Laura Dawson: Oh, yeah? And what else?

Brett: I'm sorry?

Laura Dawson: Diego told me that you learned chess so you could spend more time with him. How do you think that looks?

Brett: How it... How it looks?

Laura Dawson: You've never been married, have you? No kids?

Brett: No.

Laura Dawson: Stick to what you know… Hey, hun, you ready?

Diego: Yeah.

Laura Dawson: Thank you so much for helping out.

51 parking

Severide: You guys, Mack wanted to see us run some drills, so we're doing girth wraps. You go under the arms, hooking the armpits, tie it at the small of the back.

Dennis Mack: Wrist wrap's faster.

Severide: Girth wrap's more controlled… Who's first?

Dennis Mack: Not getting any younger… Okay.

Severide: You okay?

Dennis Mack: Yeah, I'm fine.

Laundry room

Brett: Hey, uh, have you heard from your brother?

Dawson: No, why?

Brett: Uh, Laura Dawson just showed up here and took Diego.

Dawson: You're kidding?

Brett: She called me blonde.

Dawson: Well, you are.

Brett: I don't think she was being observational, she was pissed.

Dawson: You can imagine that this is all complicated for them.

Brett: Ugh, I'm trying.

Dawson: The breakup was not pretty, and Laura loves playing mama bear.

Brett: Am I... Is it too soon?

Dawson: You know I don't want to get in the middle of this?

Brett: No, I know, but come on. I'm flying blind here.

Dawson: Look... I have a great brother. As good as they get.

Brett: But it's too soon.

Mouch: Hey, OFI is here. Boden says all hands on deck.

Dawson: Okay.

Briefing room

Boden: Gather around, everyone. Following the complications that have arisen from the West Palmer fire, the CFD are allowing us to go through the evidence that the OFI collected at the scene. The man that Casey encountered at the fire is a wanted criminal. Any evidence that we find that will assist the police in locating him will put a lot of minds at ease.

Mouch: How bad is this guy?

Boden: He tried to blow up a federal building with a fertilizer bomb. Now, the OFI have given us everything we need to properly handle evidence. You use gloves, you put everything in bags, you label it with the number of the bin that you found it in, along with the time and your name. Let's go.

Otis: That's the second copy of "the Anarchist's Cookbook." Apparently, there's more than one edition.

Herrmann: I've got, like, five leaflets with "Don't Tread on Me" as their opener.

Mouch: Edward Owens.

Severide: That's a pretty hard-core painkiller.

Dawson: And he was on it before the burns.

Casey: Take a picture of it. Text it over to Halstead.

Hallway

Dawson: Carly, you okay? What's wrong?

Carly Hamilton: Nothing, I... Uh, you were so nice to Miranda.

Dawson: Is she okay?

Carly Hamilton: She's fine, I just, um... I told the cops I didn't see Eddie. I don't want anything to happen to Miranda or to me. That guy's crazy. If he thought I talked, he'd find me.

Dawson: Anything you tell me... We'll make sure you're safe.

Carly Hamilton: I saw him in the building this morning before I found Mr. Denton. He was all amped up, saying how I was the chosen one, that you guys saved me and Miranda, but just left him to die. He said that... Um...

Dawson: What? What'd he say, Carly?

Carly Hamilton: He said he was gonna make you guys pay for that.

Radio: Truck 81, Ambulance 61, possible toxic exposure...

Carly Hamilton: Be careful.

Dawson: Thank you.

Radio: 431 Harrison Avenue.

Dawson: Chief! I gotta talk to you.

51 parking

Boden: Okay, everyone, listen up. We just received confirmation that Eddie Owens is targeting 51 directly. I'm taking the house out of service.

Kidd: What?

Boden: It could be a trap.

Herrmann: And then some other fire house responds, and then they walk face-first into it.

Casey: If you're willing to go, then we go.

Boden: Keep your eyes peeled, and your guard up. Let's go.

Street

Herrmann: Chief! Someone's inside.

Boden: Fire Department! Anyone call 911?

Officer 1: You want us to go first, Chief?

Boden: Nah. These chemicals are toxic, we don't have time to let you do a sweep.

Officer 1:  Check around back.

Officer 2: You got it.

Boden: Fans, front and back entrances.

Casey: Mouch, Kidd.

Mouch: Yup.

Casey: Positive pressure at the front...

Kidd: Right.

Casey: Exhaust at the back. Herrmann, sweep the house at the front.

Herrmann: Got it.

Casey: I'll take the rear.

Boden: Let's go!

House

Mouch: Fire Department! Call out!

Herrmann: Hey, Chief, I got a tool roll missing what looks like a hammer and a crowbar. Anybody carrying one of these will be packing one hell of a wallop.

Boden: Copy that. Watch each other's backs.

Herrmann: Copy.

Casey: Got a victim!

Herrmann: I'll get him, Lieutenant!

Casey: He's breathing.

Herrmann: All right! Victim's out, but breathing. Teenager.

Casey: Go!

Boden: Get him out of there. You got eyes on Casey?

Herrmann: Not right now.

Boden: Casey, report.

Casey: I'm good, Chief. We heard a crash, but I haven't found the source.

Herrmann: I can see him now! There's no sign of a... Casey! Behind you!

Casey: It's a kid! Looks like he was trying to loot the place. I'm heading out.

Street

Dawson: You have a lung full of toxic fog.

Victim: I heard you could go in if you had goggles and a mask.

Brett: You could've died.

Victim: I'm just trying to get the copper. Pipes. Wires.

Brett: It's a good thing the cops were already here, then, huh?

Boden: How many of you were there in there?

Victim: Just me and Mitch.

Herrmann: For old books of copper, you wanna kill yourself?

Boden: Herrmann.

51 parking

Dawson: I'm gonna, uh... Go do anything.

Antonio Dawson: Where do I start? After I'm sorry, I mean… Look, Laura coming down here was uncalled for. I should never have put you in that position.

Brett: No. No, you shouldn't have. What you... You didn't think to text me before your ex-wife comes over here with both barrels pointed at me, and... And embarrasses me in front of your son. In front of everyone that I work with.

Antonio Dawson: You knew what you were getting into, Sylvie. I told you from the very beginning.

Brett: You didn't tell me that your ex-wife was gonna take your problems out on me. She's clearly not ready for any of this, and neither are you.

Antonio Dawson: I really don't need this right now, I got enough going on with her and a new job, now I gotta hear from you?

Brett: You know what? It's probably better you don't hear it from me anymore.

Antonio Dawson: What? I... Come on.

Brett: No, you're not ready, Antonio.

Antonio Dawson: Fine, forget it. Forget everything.

51 kitchen

Cruz: Mack?

Dennis Mack: Oh, hey, I'm just getting some ice for a drink.

Cruz: Hm.

Dennis Mack: Thank you. I rolled my ankle a little on that drill. I guess I let my pride get the best of me.

Cruz: Ah, nothing wrong with that.

Dennis Mack: Was it obvious?

Cruz: No, no… Actually, yes.

Dennis Mack: I never was much of an actor… Tell me something. Kelly Severide. Is he a good leader?

Cruz: You serious?

Dennis Mack: Absolutely.

Cruz: Behind his back, we call him FILO. First in, last out.

Dennis Mack: Okay, so he's tough, but, uh, can he lead?

Cruz: Is he a cheerleader? No. Would any of us follow him anywhere? Damn right, we would. What's all this about, Chief?

Dennis Mack: Aw, nothing. Oh, he's just... He's Benny's kid, you know. I'm just curious.

Cruz: Oh, hey. I think something's up.

Halstead: Got a little good news.

Herrmann: Well, let's hear it.

Halstead: So the pills you found, the prescription came from an urgent care clinic. They've agreed to work with our department.

Casey: How so?

Halstead: They left a message on his cell saying that there's a problem with his next refill, he's gotta come in and clear it up. So when he does, we got plainclothes waiting for him.

Otis: If he shows.

Halstead: If he's hooked on those pills, sooner or later, he'll show.

Casey: Great. Thanks, Jay. Excuse me.

Boden: Sitting and waiting, not really in a firefighter's skill set.

Halstead: I work for Hank Voight, so I can handle a little attitude, Chief.

Boden: Yeah.

Casey’s office

Severide: Sounds like they're getting closer.

Casey: I keep going over that call.  If I'd just gotten him out of there, then...

Severide: It's not your fault.

Casey: I'm the one who left him there.

Severide: You did everything you could for a guy waving a gun at you. Let it go… Where's the ring?

Casey: Here.

Severide: Damn, you trying to lose that thing? Give it to me, I'll keep it safe.

Casey: What? Why?

Severide: You're in no head space to handle this. Give it here… It's not like it's real, anyway.

Casey: Put it...

Dennis Mack: Kelly, Matt.

Severide: How's the ankle?

Dennis Mack: Uh. No secrets around here, huh?

Severide: Nope, not many.

Dennis Mack: You got a minute?

Severide: Sure.

Dormitory

Dennis Mack: Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate this. Your father always said you were a good kid.

Severide: He did, huh? Who ever knows what he feels.

Dennis Mack: My old man was a fireman, too. Chief in Springfield, so I never really had a choice. To tell you the truth, uh... I always wanted to be a baker.

Severide: You're kidding?

Dennis Mack: Hey! Who doesn't love cake, right? Anyway, besides you just being a good kid, I can tell the respect you carry around. You sure as hell know how to do your job. You in line for a promotion soon?

Severide: No clue, I just do what they say.

Dennis Mack: Well, you deserve it… Anyway, again... Thanks for everything, man.

Severide: Yeah.

51 kitchen

Otis: Ooh! Are you sure you wanna do that?

Brett: Why?

Otis: Because, if Diego was here, he would save my knight...

Brett: Is Diego here?

Otis: No. I'm sorry, I... Are you okay?

Brett: Just this stupid game. It's like Mouch said... It's for kids.

Dormitory

Boden: Okay, everyone. Eddie Owens has just walked into the urgent care clinic.

Herrmann: You're kidding?

Boden: No. Cops have picked him up. They're taking him to District right now.

Otis: Yeah!

Herrmann: Thank you, Chicago's finest.

Radio: Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, structure fire...

Boden: Let's go!

Radio: 257 West Houston.

West Houston

Severide: There's no fire, just smoke, Chief.

Boden: Must be in the walls. Probably electrical. There's a red X. Nobody goes inside.

Casey: I know this place. Warehouse for a department store. They had two fires already, then the city shut it down.

Cruz: There's somebody in there.

Boden: Damn. Okay, Truck, go in the front. Squad, you go around back.

Severide: Yeah.

Boden: Sweep for victims and get out as soon as possible.

Casey: Herrmann, Otis, Kidd. Let's go.

Herrmann: Copy that.

Warehouse

Casey: No sign of the fire, Chief. Just smoke. Got a couple of burning drums, here. Maybe for heat? All right, let's sweep the floor that way. Kidd, take the stairs toward the back. I'm going upstairs through the front.

Kidd: Fire department. Call out!

Casey: Fire department. Call out!

Outside the warehouse

Severide: Whoa, whoa, hey, Cruz!

Street

Radio: Chief Boden, we have an emergency call from a Detective Halstead.

Boden: Go ahead, Halstead.

Halstead: Chief, the guy that came into the clinic, it's not Owens. I repeat, it is not Owens. It's a crackhead that Owens paid off. Owens is still out there somewhere.

Boden: 51! Owens is still loose. This could be a trap. Everyone get out, now!

Outside the warehouse

Severide: Hey, Chief, we got what looks like a couple of fertilizer bombs. North side of the building here.

Gunshots

Boden: 10-1! 10-1! Shots fired, unknown if anyone is hit.

Warehouse

Boden: Casey, report.

Kidd: Hey!

Casey: Eddie! Eddie, I'm coming out!

Kidd: Casey, no!

Casey: Don't shoot! Your problem isn't with her.

Eddie Owens: Not one of them came back for me!

Casey: We did come back. You were already gone.

Gunshots

Street

Boden: You son of a bitch. Those bombs are big enough to take out the neighbourhood.

Dennis Mack: That detonator looks pressure sensitive. Springfield's the state capitol, we train for this all the time. We need to disrupt that mix.

Boden: Mouch... Inch and three quarter line. Go with him.

Dennis Mack: Yeah.

Warehouse

Boden: Casey, report.

Casey: It was me, Eddie! You want me!

Eddie Owens: You're all just... Agents of the machine! Choosing who is worthy of mercy, and you decided I wasn't!

Casey: Kidd, run!

Gunshots

Outside the warehouse

Severide: We good?

Dennis Mack: Find out in a second.

Gunshots

Outside the warehouse

Dennis Mack: Come on, come on.

Warehouse

Eddie Owens: Ahh!

Street

Casey: That's your shooter.

Officer: I'm riding with you.

Brett: Okay.

Dawson: I'll be right back.

Brett: Yeah.

Dawson: And for the record... I still don't like when people shoot at you.

Casey: Yeah.

Casey and Dawson’s apartment

Brett: I need a change… Pink.

Dawson: Really?

Brett: Really. I've always been a blonde. Look where it's gotten me. What do you think?

Casey: Uh...

Brett: Have you... Have you talked to Antonio yet?

Dawson: I've called him, like, three time, but... No answer… Hey.

Severide: Hey!

Casey: Hey.

Severide: All right. Enough of the pity party, we're going to Molly's.

Casey: I'm in.

Brett: No way!

Dawson: I don't know, I'm kind of tired.

Severide: Did I say anyone has a choice in the matter? We're going.

Casey: I said I'm in.

Severide: Good.

Dawson: Okay, fine. Only if you come.

Severide: Then you're coming.

Brett: Fine, I'll come. I'll drive myself so I can leave when I start to cry.

Severide: Oh.

Brett: Get out! I'll meet you guys there.

Brett’s apartment

Antonio Dawson: Hey, uh... Um... I'm not good at apologizing, obviously… But I just want to say... I messed up. And then I made it... I made it worse.

Brett: Antonio, I... I don't need to...

Antonio Dawson: Wait... Let me finish. I think... I think... That you deserve better than I can give you. I got baggage that's never going away. I got a job that's never gonna be able to put you first. And you deserve first.

Brett: We were great together.

Antonio Dawson: We were.

Brett: Look, um... Maybe... If things with your... With your job settle and everything settles, we could... We could just check... And see.

Antonio Dawson: I'd like that.

Brett: Yeah, me too.

Molly’s

Dawson: So weird.

Kidd: Hey, hey, hey, hey.

All: Surprise!

Dawson: What is this?

Severide: Well, it occurred to me you two have never had a wedding reception.

Herrmann: Oh, yeah. A situation that needed rectification.

Casey: This was you?

Severide: With help. Uh, Mack?

Dennis Mack: Excuse me, coming through. Excuse me. Ta-da!

Mouch: Speech!

Casey: Speech? Uh...

Herrmann: All right, jeez. Do I gotta do everything around here? All right, look, Dawson, Casey, you two are an example to every one of us. You are proof that love really can conquer all… I mean, maybe you're just too stubborn to be beaten, I mean, Gabby is, anyway.

Dawson: Oh!

Herrmann: All right, but no, when I'm thinking about the first time I saw you two together...

Casey: No, no, no, no, no, okay?

Herrmann: No, it was...

Casey: No! I got this.

Herrmann: There was a sweetness!

Casey: Thank you.

Herrmann: I remember!

Casey: Thank you.

Herrmann: Remember the...

Casey: All right...

Dawson: I was wondering where that damn thing was.

Casey: Yeah? Gabriela Dawson... I know we've never gotten to do this right, so... I hope you will wear this ring always to remind us both that whatever we've been through... Whatever we go through... As long as we do it together, we're the luckiest souls around.

Dawson: Matt Casey... I would be honoured.

Severide: To Casey and Dawson!

All: To Casey and Dawson!

Dawson: Mmm. Oh, my God! This is amazing.

Casey: Hey! Aren't I supposed to smash it in your face or something?

Dawson: Don't you dare. No... Don't.

Casey: I wouldn't do that.

Dawson: Don't! No! Don't!

Casey: What? I'm not doing anything. I'm just eating my cake.

Dennis Mack: Kelly, I have to admit, I haven't exactly been honest... In my reasons for being here.

Severide: Yeah?

Dennis Mack: Yeah, there's a... Battalion Chief position open in Springfield... Which is yours. If you want it. You'd be in charge of five houses… Truth is... I'm the Fire Commissioner there, and I would like to groom you to be my replacement someday soon. You deserve it, Kelly… And from what I hear, there might be a girl at Springfield Med... That you have something with? Well, we'd love to have you. I'm guessing she would, too.
